Conference Heating

Filed under: Meetings — admin @ 9:29 am

On the conference scene keeping your participants warm is essential in the cold winters in Europe. One of the criteria we insist upon in our conference and hotel contracts is that the venue provider has heating cover for the duration of the meeting.

Typical terms would include: -

Upon payment of the fee a heating engineer will be available to visit and attempt to fix any gas boiler problems if the hotel has a heating emergency. The stock promise is to try to call within twenty four hours, this is a best endeavors target, paying a premium on the monthly fee can turn this into a guarantee. A conference hotel should be given priority with an extra payment as 24 hours is too long to wait.

If on site maintenance electricians are not available the boiler repairs plan can be extended to insure other aspects of the facilities such as the drains or electrical wiring. Including extra characteristics will increase the monthly charge but make for a smooth conference.

Whilst the hotel could change the supplier for the heating boiler insurance in future years, the best option could be to select one that has no restriction on the renewal heating and boiler age. The older the central heating boiler the more likely they will need care and less likely a new supplier will provide cover. If they are unlucky and have two failures in one year they might find that some policies stop boiler maintenance cover. With an older gas boiler installation they should ensure that they have limitless call-outs. Some policies have a call out charge and they can then offer heating boiler care at a lower monthly cost.
